Housecall: Arthritic Pain Management
Arthritis pain is an unwelcome intrusion that can make even simple, everyday activities difficult and stressful. There are dozens — even hundreds — of remedies out there that say they’ll help, from prescription and over-the- counter medicines to homemade concoctions. Join family practice physician Margaret Cheadle, MD, for an interesting and informative program aimed at helping people with arthritis pain sort through the various remedies, manage their condition and live as pain-free as possible. Dr. Cheadle will also explain how you can work with your health care provider to create an arthritis management plan tailored to your specific needs. To register, call (805) 583-6363.

CPR: Heartsaver AED
This class is for the general public who would like to learn CPR. The Heartsaver AED Course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults, adult/child AED, children and infants and the use of barrier devices. Pre-registration is required. Want to quit smoking? We can help. Learn how to deal with smoking urges, stress and moods, weight and exercise, slips, lifestyle balance and more. Yoga Classes
The Wellness Community offers a series of yoga classes that utilize gentle stretching, movement, awareness and breath to increase flexibility, aid in stress reduction, and promote a sense of well being. No previous yoga experience required. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, towel, or blanket to lie on.
