Advanced Directives: Having a Say in Your Health Care Decisions

Dr. Jonathan KuroharaSevere illness or injury can keep you from playing an active role in decisions related to your medical care. An advance health care directive gives you your voice back by putting in writing your wishes about resuscitation, feeding and other critical health care issues. Jonathan Kurohara, MD, will lead the discussion and answer your questions. Dr. Kurohara is a local family practice physician with the Alamo Hills Medical Group and has been a member of the Simi Valley Hospital medical staff since 1987.

Women from all over our community are invited to participate in Simi Valley Hospital Foundation’s Hats Off to Women Luncheon, Fashion Show and Health Screenings. Our Keynote Speaker this year is Emmy award winning actress and comedian Tracey Conway, who literally dropped dead in the middle of filming her television sketch-comedy show. Yoga Classes

The Wellness Community offers a series of yoga classes that utilize gentle stretching, movement, awareness and breath to increase flexibility, aid in stress reduction, and promote a sense of well being. No previous yoga experience required. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, towel, or blanket to lie on.
