Turning Over a New Leaf

You may have noticed a new Simi Valley Hospital logo on the cover of this magazine. The logo features the silhouette of a sycamore leaf, a symbol of our community. This is our way of rededicating ourselves to our community and, at the same time, “turning over a new leaf.”

In this issue of Your Health, you’ll see many examples of how we’re transforming Simi Valley Hospital into a modern system of interconnected, specialized services while maintaining our warm and welcoming atmosphere.

In this issue, you’ll find an exciting report on our Patient Care Tower, which is close to completion. This building is a focal point of new technology and services that will carry us into the future. You will also see how we are remaking our Emergency Department.

One thing that will never change is our support for organizations that serve the health needs of our community. Read about our involvement with the first-ever American Heart Association Start! Heart Walk, as well as the Simi Valley Relay for Life. You will also learn how organizations are giving back to us so we can help the women of our community.

As we are transforming on the outside, we are changing on the inside too. Read about our CARE customer service program and how employees are learning to make each patient’s and guest’s visit special.

As we become the hospital you envision, we need the financial support of our community. Learn more about our new 3 Campaign, which focuses on our Emergency Department, Women’s Services and Cardiology Services.

Finally, read about classes and events that can help you lead a healthier life.

In this new year, as you resolve to turn over a new leaf, remember that Simi Valley Hospital is doing the same to ensure the best possible health care for our community for decades to come.
