Simi Valley Hospital Establishes Foundation
Effective immediately, the state of California and the Internal Revenue Service have granted permission for Simi Valley Hospital Foundation to begin operations as a 501(C)3 tax-exempt public benefit organization.
“The creation of the Simi Valley Hospital Foundation marks a great day for our hospital as well as our community,” said Margaret Peterson, president and CEO. “The Foundation will assist our plans to renovate and expand our hospital campus, as well as enhance our dialogue with the community.”
The Simi Valley Hospital Foundation will assist with a capital campaign to raise funds for the hospital’s new patient care tower, set for completion in 2008. Pending regulatory approval, the groundbreaking for the new tower could begin as early as this summer.
All contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law. Donations will be used for the purpose of helping provide the funding for the new Patient Care Tower, and hospital renovation and expansion.
