New Executives Appointed at Simi Valley Hospital

Darwin Remboldt has been appointed president and CEO of Simi Valley Hospital, according to Scott Reiner, senior vice president of Adventist Health and board chair of the hospital. Remboldt will assume his new role March 31, 2008. In addition, John Beaman has been appointed CFO of the facility effective April 14, 2008.

“I am pleased that both Darwin and John have accepted these leadership roles at SVH,” stated Reiner. “As a resident in the Simi Valley area, Darwin knows the hospital well and has previously served at the facility as president and CEO as well as holding various other leadership roles throughout Adventist Health. John also has served as a CFO in our system and I’m confident that both he and Darwin will bring new energy and expertise to the hospital and its community.”

Currently, Remboldt is the vice president of Clinic Services for Adventist Health with responsibility for all aspects of the organization’s rural health clinic network, which is comprised of 24 clinics, approximately 100 physicians and had nearly 500,000 patient visits in 2007. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Central Valley General Hospital and Hanford Community Medical Center in Central California.

Remboldt has had a successful track record in working with physicians and fostering positive physician relationships. He has held numerous leadership positions in health care administration and was the president of Family Medical Associates, Inc., a physician multi-specialty group, and Granada Medical Group. From 1984 through 1989, Remboldt was the president and CEO of SVH. His past leadership at the facility combined with his commitment in the community makes him an ideal leader to propel the hospital into the future and oversee the development of a renovated medical campus including the opening of the hospital’s new patient tower.

Beaman comes to SVH from Centura Health in Denver, Colorado where he is currently the CFO of Littleton Adventist Hospital. No stranger to Adventist Health, Beaman previously served as the CFO for San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield, California. He also has held financial leadership positions at HCA, Inc., Tenet Healthcare Corporation and Adventist Health System in the Midwest Region.
