Deb Holler Named Simi Valley Hospital 2010 “Woman of the Year”

The First Ladies of Simi Valley Hospital Foundation announce today, the 2010 “Woman of the Year” is Deb Holler. The official award will be given to Holler at the Hats Off to Women Luncheon and Fashion Show on April 16, to be held at the American Jewish University- House of the Book in Simi Valley. Hats Off to Women celebrates women and raises funds for hospital community outreach projects. This year, proceeds from the event will be earmarked for the hospital’s Emergency Department expansion project.

Every year, the First Ladies of Simi Valley Hospital Foundation honors one remarkable woman from a local business or organization that gives of her time, talents and treasures to a local organization that benefits the community.

Holler has lived in Simi Valley for twenty years and has been deeply active in her community. She supports many community events and has graciously opened her home for a wide variety of fundraisers for community organizations.

She is known as a person who will never say no to helping with a worthy cause. She contributes all of her efforts to our community while enduring her own health challenges yet she always has a smile on her face.

Holler has been a member of the Rotary Club of Simi Valley for the past thirteen years and is the current President. She also serves on several boards within the community such as the Boys & Girls Club and the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, where she served as their Chief Financial Officer. Holler has been involved with the Moorpark Community College Foundation Board and she is a graduate of Leadership Simi Valley. In 2006, Deb was named Business Person of the Year by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce for her high ethical business standards and outstanding leadership abilities.

She has hosted numerous fundraisers for many worthy organizations including the Free Clinic of Simi Valley, the Rotary Club of Simi Valley, the Simi Valley Community Foundation, the Boys & Girls Club, the Samaritan Center and the Moorpark College Foundation.

Deb has always been a true friend to so many people in Simi Valley and has consistently made herself available to help others, often times putting her own needs aside. Deb Holler is always a “Woman of the Year!”
