Simi Valley Hospital Foundation Seeking Nominees for the “Woman of the Year”

The Simi Valley Hospital Foundation is inviting community members, organizations and businesses to nominate a woman for the “Woman of the Year” award presented by The First Ladies of Simi Valley Hospital Foundation. The award will be given at the foundation’s annual Hats Off To Women Conference and Luncheon to be held in April 2012.

Nominees must work or reside in Simi Valley, Moorpark and/or the service area of the hospital. All nominees will be judged based on specific criteria within various categories. All submissions will be considered and one of the nominees will be selected as the “Woman of the Year” by a panel of judges.

Nominators must provide a short narrative explaining why their nominee should be considered for the award. A nominee should be a woman who not only gives of her time, talents or treasures to their business or an organization but also strengthens the community by her involvement.

Entries must be received by email, mail or fax no later than February 17, 2012. Nominators may submit completed nomination forms, or a letter with all the information, to the Simi Valley Hospital Foundation, at SVHFoundation@ah.org or by mail to 2975 N. Event Information

Simi Valley Hospital Foundation’s Hats Off To Women celebrates the many hats that women wear. The annual fundraiser includes Keynote Speakers, a luncheon, fashion show, silent and live auctions, a shopping boutique, complimentary health screenings and the presentation of the Woman of the Year. Proceeds from the event benefit the Simi Valley Hospital Emergency Services and Hospital Expansion Project. The new Emergency Department will double in size and amount of beds and make it a state-of-the-art unit. The hospital expansion project is part of an overall $41 million dollar project that will also include a new cardiac catheterization lab, new surgical suite and an expanded GI lab among other amenities.
