SVH: In the News — Father’s Day
CELEBRATING FATHER’S DAY AT SIMI VALLEY HOSPITAL
Pictured with their new baby girl Reyna is proud papa Hector Carrillo and big brother Josiah. Because Reyna was born on Father’s Day, the Carrillo family received Dodger tickets and some peanuts to celebrate the occasion.
On Father’s Day, some lucky new Dads in the Maternity unit at Simi Valley Hospital & Health Care Services received four baseball tickets, a bag of peanuts and a specially designed Father’s Day card, all of which were compliments of Simi Valley Hospital & Health Care Services and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Becoming a tradition, each year the Los Angeles Dodgers and Simi Valley Hospital partner to make Father’s Day extra special for those Dads in the Maternity unit. New Dads and all dads in the Maternity unit receive the Dodger’s tickets and accompanying items.
One of those lucky Dads was Hector Carrillo, a Simi Valley Resident who became a new Dad for the third time. “The Dodger tickets are a very nice touch and I’m a fan,” said Mr. Carrillo. “I’m excited about going to the game with my sons I think we’ll all get a big kick out of it.”
The Carrillo family has had all three of their children at Simi Valley Hospital. Reyna, a 6 pound, 13 ounce baby girl, is the latest addition to the Carrillo family. Monica Carrillo, a very tired but proud new mom, delivered Reyna in the morning hours of Father’s Day.
Reyna has two big brothers, Josiah and Kyle. Mr. Carrillo is looking forward to taking his sons to the Dodger Game. Grandpa might go too.
