Behavioral Health Unit

The staff of the Behavioral Health Unit at Simi Valley Hospital is committed to improving the mental health status of adults in Simi Valley and our surrounding communities by providing access to a continuum of quality, cost-effective mental health services.
We are dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental, healing environment for each patient and treat each individual as a whole person with physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

As a hospital-based program, we offer a nurturing, supportive and humanistic environment. Each patient receives a detailed, individualized treatment plan with specific goals and objectives, as well as time frames for achieving these goals. Our inpatient psychiatric programs have been designed to point the way to a healthier, more fulfilling life. Each program is customized to the individual patient’s level of functioning and supervision needed.

The hospital’s multi-disciplinary care team tailors treatment approaches that focus on practical ways to resolve problems. Regularly scheduled treatment activities are provided seven days a week. In addition, every patient receives a written discharge plan that includes recommendations for appropriate follow-up treatment.
