SVH: Chemical Dependency Treatment
Chemical Dependency Treatment
Upon admission to Behavioral Medicine Services, the journey begins to reach the calmer water after the storm. Our chemical dependency programs show you the way to a healthier, more fulfilling life.
The Chemical Dependency treatment at Behavioral Medicine Services is comprised of two programs:
- Medical Detoxification is an inpatient medical procedure that removes the toxic effects of drugs and/or alcohol from the patient’s body. During this period, each patient also receives counseling, education and discharge planning services.
- The Intensive Outpatient Chemical Dependency Treatment Program is led by a licensed addictionologist and a team of highly skilled chemical dependency counselors. The treatment plan is based on the abstinence model and promotes a healthy drug-free lifestyle.
Upon completion of this program, patients are eligible for one year of continuing care to support continued success in remaining in the clear waters of sobriety.
