Making Your Health a Priority, Every Day

Of course we care for people who are sick, but our biggest joy is making sure people stay healthy.

That’s why we place such a high priority on prevention, education and information.

Most likely, you already receive our free quarterly newsletter that’s sent to every home and comes packed with tips for healthy living, as well as listings of the many classes and screenings we offer throughout the year. Many of our classes are free or low-cost, aimed at helping you quit smoking, manage weight, conquer stress, learn CPR or discover the basics of effective childbirth and baby care.

Our free Drive-thru Flu Clinic makes a flu shot as easy as getting fast food.

Of course, we also offer a variety of screenings throughout the community, often as part of local events. Here, you can learn your blood pressure or body fat, determine your cholesterol level, be screened for prostate or breast cancer and much more.

An especially popular service is the free Drive-thru Flu Clinic, in partnership with a local medical group, which makes getting an annual flu shot as easy as ordering fast food – all without ever leaving your car. Last year, more than 2,500 residents received the illness-reducing shot in just a matter of hours.

Many people also enjoy the expert advice they get by calling our Ask-A-Nurse hotline, which is staffed by registered nurses. Whether your child has a temperature, your husband has a nagging cough or you’ve developed a troubling rash, Ask-A-Nurse can help ease your mind with simple remedies and suggestions. And if you do require medical attention, we can help you select the best physician to handle your needs.
