SVH: Spiritual Care

Our full-time chaplain is available day and night

If you’ve ever been anxious, angry, lonely or depressed, you know your emotions can and do impact your overall health.

That’s why caring for the whole person — body, mind and spirit — is such an integral part of Simi Valley Hospital’s approach.

We have a full-time chaplain, available day and night, to care for the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and families.

Our employees are also encouraged to provide spiritual comfort — from something as simple as a smile or caring touch, to a prayer addressing a specific need.

But we don’t stop there. We know it’s often easier for people to relate to someone of their own faith, so we’ve formed a chaplains’ panel representing a variety of denominations to offer solace and support to those in need.

Meeting spiritual needs at a personal level is nothing new. In fact, as a member of Adventist Health, we are simply carrying on a Christian mission that’s been part of our heritage for more than a century.
