Nancy Reagan Breast Center
Welcome to the Nancy Reagan Breast Center of Simi Valley Hospital
where our dedicated staff members are immensely proud of the rich
tradition of providing women with quality care and service. We remain
just as devoted today to the prevention, detection and treatment
of breast disease as we did in 1994 when Mrs. Reagan generously provided
her name and guidance in creating this featured health service benefiting
women throughout Ventura County.
Advanced Technology
The Nancy Reagan Breast Center uses digital technology, the most current and state-of-the-art technology used in the field of mammography today. With digital pictures, our physicians can zoom in, magnify and optimize different parts of the breast tissue in the picture without having to take an additional image.
In terms of preparation, positioning, and the look of the machine,
the patient experience is unchanged. However, the result of
the test offers several advantages, including a more powerful diagnosis. Included
in the advantages are:
- Fewer patients are required to come back for additional pictures
- Less anxiety as pictures are generated immediately
- Less time for appointments, as results are obtained faster
- The ability for physicians to magnify and optimize mammography results.
