Our Services

Cancer Services

Simi Valley Hospital's Community Cancer Program — approved by the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer — provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, as well as support and education within the hospital and in the community at large.

As part of the hospital's mission, our Cancer Program strives to provide medical care that is responsive to the needs of our community and offers love, compassion and hope to our patients and their families.

Maintaining a Professional Cancer Program

All cancer cases at Simi Valley Hospital are reported through a regional office, including annual follow-up letters and/or calls to all patients in the hospital's cancer database. A certified tumor registrar maintains Cancer data in accordance with California state law.

The SVH Oncology Records Coordinator works under the direction of the hospital's Cancer Committee. Cancer conferences and clinical education are provided to all local medical staff and allied health professionals.

Patient Care

Patient care is provided for both inpatients and outpatients in the main hospital building and in the Aspen Outpatient Center. (Click here for a map.)

Services include:

  • Diagnostic imaging (mammography, x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, biopsy)
  • Gastrointestinal (GI) lab - colorectal screening
  • Surgery (inpatient and outpatient)
  • Chemotherapy, administered by certified chemotherapy nurses
  • Radiation oncology
  • Clinical nutrition services, provided by a registered dietitian
