Music in Motion
This program offers a series of six classes to two age groups: 2
to 6 year olds, and 6 to 12 year olds. Led by our board certified
music therapist, children learn academic, social, and motor skills
through musical experiences. Participants have the opportunity to
interact with other children, play instruments, experience group music
making, move and dance to music, and increase their self-esteem. Music
in Motion also includes story telling, painting and drawing, and physical
activities.
Motion Picture Pals
This program is designed for children ages 2-5 who present within the autism spectrum and have limited communication skills or are nonverbal. Motion Picture Pals combines sensory motor skills and functional communication through the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). Children participate in intensive individual therapy, small group therapy, sensory motor activities, crafts, and other social interactions. The caring and committed staff includes early childhood education, speech and language, and occupational therapy specialists.
Kids in Motion
This group program for children 6 and up is designed for those who best benefit from a sensory approach for learning. Facilitated by occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and language therapists and child development educators, this program offers exploration of materials to enhance interpersonal skills and provides opportunities for gross and fine motor development.
After School Club
Our After School Club program is a once a week two hour group session
for children ages 6 to 14. The purpose of the group is to provide
a therapeutic setting where gross motor skills, fine motor skills
and language development occur in a socially appropriate manner. Age
appropriate skills are modified as needed based on the challenges
or limitations that the children in the group may display. Therapy
staff from all disciplines motivates children to interact with peers
meaningfully as they further develop coordination, balance, learning
and language. The After School Club is 6-8 weeks in duration and offered
at least quarterly.
