Rehabilitation Services
Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
The focus of rehabilitation is the treatment of a disability, whether it is physical, cognitive or communicative. Our team of physicians, nurses, therapists and other specialists work together in providing an integrated approach to patient care.
The Goal of Rehabilitation
The basic goals of Rehabilitation are simple:
- Relieve pain and discomfort
- Restore function and promote healing
- Build strength, increase endurance
- Increase range of motion and flexibility
- Improve or correct posture
- Improve balance and coordination
- Learn or relearn skills
- Assist with activities of daily living
The Rehabilitation Process
The Rehabilitation process begins with an assessment of a patient’s ability to function and their potential to improve. Once that assessment has been made, a treatment plan is implemented with each member of the team working in unison to address various aspects of impairment and disability. Patients will undergo daily treatments by working with each member of their team to obtain the best possible results for their unique diagnosis.
