Aspen Surgery Center Leads the Nation in Patient Satisfaction
Along with state-of-the-art equipment, the Aspen Surgery Center excels in the area of patient satisfaction. According to Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC), the healthcare research company that conducts Simi Valley Hospital’s patient satisfaction surveys, Aspen Surgery Center’s scores are consistently well above those of similar centers throughout the United States.
“Because our staff lives right here in this community, we see our patients on a regular basis,” said Jeanine Maurer, RN, director of the Aspen Surgery Center. “We come into contact with each other at community activities, school, church, PTA, clubs, even extracurricular sports. Our reputation goes far beyond just the need to do our job; we extend ourselves to our patients because they are the people we run across all the time in our daily lives.”
Maurer also attributed the high patient satisfaction scores to a culture of camaraderie at the center. “This staff is a tight-knit group,” she said. “Our nurses are cross-trained to help out in a wide variety of tasks, which is a benefit to both staff and patients. Everyone takes personal ownership for the entire facility.”
